Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
Waiting is never easy. It can feel like silence, delay, or even abandonment. But God’s Word reminds us that waiting is not wasted time. It is preparation. It is the place where faith is stretched, tested, and strengthened.
When Scripture tells us to “wait and confidently expect the Lord”, it’s not calling us to sit idly. It’s inviting us to wait with anticipation—like a runner at the starting line, ready for the sound of the gun. It’s an active hope, a posture of trust, and a declaration that God is faithful.
The enemy would love for us to believe the lies: “God forgot you,” “You missed your chance,” or “You’re stuck.” But the truth is this… while we are waiting, God is working. His timing is perfect—never late, never early.
Think of David in the fields, Joseph in the prison, or even Jesus in Gethsemane. Their seasons of waiting were not wasted. They were being prepared for the very things God had promised. And so are you.
Also, waiting is worship. Waiting on the Lord doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means turning your waiting room into a war room. It means lifting your hands in worship, opening your mouth in praise, and pouring out your heart in prayer.
Waiting is a sacred space! The altar where we say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
My prayer for us today is this…
Lord, give us the strength in our season of waiting. Help us to see that this time is not wasted, but purposeful in Your hands. Teach us to wait with confidence, not in fear or anxiety. Lift our hearts with courage and remind us that You are always on time. We choose to worship while we wait, and we trust that our breakthrough is on the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
