In just a little while I will again shake the heavens and the earth…
The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory…
And in this place, I will bring peace,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
We’ve been through a season of testing, stretching, and refining. People have changed, ministries have shifted, and even our worship has grown, but through it all, God has remained faithful. Sometimes He allows a shaking to remind us who the true Builder is. It’s in the uncertain seasons that God does His greatest work; rearranging, rebuilding, and preparing us for what’s next. If you’ve just joined us, you’re not here by accident. God brought you into this family because you are part of what He’s about to do.
In Haggai’s time, the people were weary from rebuilding the temple, wondering if their work even mattered. But God gave them this promise: ‘The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former.’ That word still stands today. We’ve been shaken but not forsaken, pruned but not cut off. Everything that’s happened has been preparation for what’s about to break loose. The same Holy Spirit that filled the early church wants to fill this house again. Church, we’re on the verge of an explosion of God’s glory and power!
We must understand that God shakes what’s temporary so that what’s eternal can stand firm. He removes what’s comfortable to reveal what’s unshakable. So, when the dust settles, what remains is strong enough for His glory. So, take heart, you are part of the foundation God is building on!
Change isn’t declining; it is a new life being born. God said, ‘Behold, I am doing a new thing.’ He’s raising up a new generation, a new sound, and a new hunger for His Spirit. Yes, the process can be painful, but like a woman in labor, the pain precedes the promise. Revival is on the way. Joy is coming.
Before God’s fire fell in Elijah’s day, he had to rebuild the altar. That’s what God is calling us to do again. To repair the altar of prayer, unity, and faith. When our hearts come together as one, His fire will fall.
As a congregation, we’ve been through the shaking, but we’re still standing. We’ve been through the pruning, but we’re producing fruit. Now comes the explosion, an outpouring of power, favor, and souls! That is what Ephesians 3:20 tells us…“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think…”.
Church, we are on the brink of once more! The best is not behind us, it’s just beginning. Amen.
